  • NTU's Summer+1 program allows you to experience an East Asian culture and gain Mandarin Chinese competence during the four-week program. The program is based on a unique mix of Exploring Taiwan courses and Mandarin Chinese lessons. Every Exploring Taiwan course is conducted in English and studies a different environmental, historical, or sociocultural facet of Taiwan. Weekly field trips and social activities, such as calligraphy and martial arts classes, are offered for deeper immersion into East Asian civilization.
  • Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, is a modern metropolis with Japanese colonial lanes, busy shopping streets and contemporary buildings. Taiwan has an outstanding higher education system that provides opportunities for international students to study a wide variety of subjects, ranging from Chinese language and history to tropical agriculture and forestry, genetic engineering, business, semi-conductors and more. Chinese culture holds education and scholarship in high regard, and nowhere is this truer than in Taiwan.
