Program Reviews:
Summer 2018 Participant
I lived in San Sebastián for two months and I'm still amazed that people have the privilege of living there for their entire lives. The city is nestled between the Pyrenees mountain range and the ocean on the Northern coast of Spain's Basque Country. There are an overwhelming number of restaurants, and the city is world-renowned for its gastronomy. The city has three beaches, one of which allows for excellent surfing. It is one of the most beautiful places I have been and that alone makes the program worth it. USAC's course offerings are excellent for improving or learning Spanish, classes are interesting, and you will have plenty of time to enjoy the city. The expensive cost of the program is worth it. I recommend living with a host family and enjoying the city as much as possible. Go out whenever you can, and if you like surfing, go every day.
