Program Reviews:
Spring 2018 Participant
The courses were easier than what I was used to at home (although this may have been because I took the elementary Spanish track - other students in the program seemed to have more homework than me). Classes were held at the Universidad Nacional and taught by USAC professors. There were fewer opportunities than I would have liked to interact with local students, but my host family was great and helped expose me to local culture. One of the best things about the program was its location. Heredia is close to the capitol San José from which you can catch a bus for a weekend trip to any of Costa Rica's beaches or national parks. Overall a great value of the money.
